Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actor who's talent has brought the attention of critics and recognition. She's a Sagittarius born on the 3rd of December 1960, in North Carolina. She's the eldest of three children, and was the daughter of Peter Moore Smith who was an Army paratrooper. The mother of her child Anne works as a psychotherapist. She's English as well as Scottish. Her father was a professional who frequently moved the family. It was a struggle to make and keeping friends. Moore was a stage actor at Frankfurt American High School when her family relocated to Germany. She furthered her education in Boston University, graduating in 1983 with an B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Moore started her acting career off Broadway at New York, after she graduated. In 1985 she appeared on stage for the first time in The Edge of Night. She played in the roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her breakthrough. The show aired from 1988 to the present and was awarded an Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In 1990 she was the first film actress to make her debut on cinema in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The critically acclaimed performance of her in Short Cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore was the first actress to get a major performance in Safe, a 1995 film. The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the top grossing films of 1997, was a significant moment in her career. The actress received an SAG nomination in 1999 for the role she played in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. The Hours starred Moore in 2002. It was also nominated by nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore also appeared in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) as well as a variety of others. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has appeared in countless movies and TV series. Most recently, she starred as the lead in When You Finish Saving The World (2022). In Hollywood as well, she has become a published author for children. She released her first book in 2007 Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became a N.Y.T. The bestseller was later made into a movie, series and even a musical. In 2013, she released Her Mom is a Foreigner. Moore is known as a renowned actress and novelist. Moore was married to John Robin back in 1984, and the couple divorced in 1996. They have two children together along with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore's focus is on her family, friends and her work.
